A small studio painting based on an outdoor pencil sketch. I built up the colour of the cloud, layer by layer in an effort to make it glow like it would in nature. This is something that oil paint is perfectly able to achieve and layers like this can build up a depth of colour that one can look into rather than just seeing the surface of a basic colour
